Check out the blog I wrote about an "old" stay at home dad who wrote about book about his experiences. Phil Lerman, who wrote Dadditude, spoke at a speaker series I'm blogging. He's funny as hell and has a wonderful take on the gift of fatherhood. Read what he spoke about at www.shaneparvenmedia.com and hit "blogged interviews."

I totally agree with everything you said. I hardly ever hire someone to come to my house to do something unless it is very dangerous or takes special euipment that I don't have or can't get. This past weekend I ripped everything out of our upstairs bathroom including the walls. The only thing left is bathtub. Pretty scary looking, but it will look nice when it is done...and cost me way less than it would if I had hired someone to do it.

Great thoughts...

I recently had the same revelation when it came to my daughter who is only 7months old. I blogged on my site http://www.wherestheinstructions.com about what she would remember.. what actions and words I committed today to her or in front of her that would become ingrained within her.

Great blog, enjoyed it immensly.

Hi Dad,
I think that you site is a great idea.
On lists and managing them, using those tools when you're running a home and physically mobile with small children is different from doing it in a work environment. Making sure you don't lose things also takes on a whole new meaning, so this seems like a very helpful post.
